What does it cost?
Clients and Business Thinkers negotiate the fees for each piece of work, which are payable to the Business Thinker upon submission. Clients are also liable to pay an additional 15% of the item fee to Kathink.
To be registered as a Business Thinker, an annual registration fee of £100 is payable.
In some cases, clients may request the contact details of Business Thinkers with whom they have worked, in order to continue to collaborate directly. If the Business Thinker agrees to share their contact details, a fee is payable to Kathink from the client, equal to the value of the fees paid or payable by the client to that Business Thinker over the last 12 months.
How does anonymity work?
While all Kathink members have a screen name, both clients and Business Thinkers may opt to interact anonymously. This can be a permanent setting (in Account settings), and members may also select to appear as anonymous just for selected requests.
There are several reasons why members may choose to appear anonymously:
- Clients may wish to sample the market or gather information without revealing their company name, in order not to prejudice results or to avoid high fees (in the case of very large corporations)
- Business Thinkers may wish to run their Kathink business in parallel to other employment
